Multi-platinum artist Shordie Shordie and Grammy®-nominated producer Murda Beatz link to release “Contacts,” the first single off their anticipated mixtape Memory Lane 2, which arrives on October 27th.
Complete with bristling background vocals, Shordie and Murda’s latest collaboration proves that the pair have unrivaled chemistry. “Contacts” opens up with a soft piano melody while the RIAA Certified Double-Platinum recording artist’s raspy vocals exist in the space between bravado and vulnerability. Shordie delivers a passionate performance over the track’s atmospheric production as he attempts to play phone tag with a love interest.
Alongside the new single, the Baltimore artist shares the accompanying visual for his latest score. The video is brimming with fun and excitement, but backed against downtempo orchestration, offering a juxtaposition that perfectly sets up his forthcoming project. Watch above.
